A project linking the jewelery to embroidery through design and a dream

The idea of using Madeira embroidery in fashion accessories was born under the influence of a family of embroiderers and from the experience of its creator, Carla Vieira, architect and dreamer.

After developing the first prototype / model , pleased with the result, she realized the potential of the idea and undertook the need to continue to work to improve the product, day after day. Embroidery is the star in these pieces, which combine harmoniously the preservation of what is handmade, framed with noble metals, transporting them to a place in the world of jewelery.

In MUDAME the Madeira embroidery has not an exclusively decorative purpose. Itself is a gem to use and beautify as a souvenir of a trip, as a celebration of a moment in time. And this allows you to take it out from the drawer, celebrating the day-to-day life, or in a special occasion, associating it with a feeling you identify to.

A ideia de Utilizar o Bordado Madeira

Os Bordados clássicos fazem-se apenas pelos desenhos. A MUDAME usa os pontos do Bordado Madeira tradicional, o que está bem patente na Coleção Clássica, mas aposta num refresh dos desenhos, sempre executados com pontos e técnicas reconhecidas pelo selo do Instituto do Vinho e do Bordado da Madeira (IVBAM).

Temos assim peças com desenhos originais, partindo dos pontos originais do Bordado Madeira, mas dispondo-os de maneira diferente.  

O bordado Madeira usa linhas de algodão na cor branca e cru na versão clássica e nós também usamos, mas já aplicamos outros acabamentos como linhas satinadas que realçam cores e brilhos e o resultado é sofisticado.  

Os desenhos e as cores utilizadas para as nossas jóias são associadas a prata na cor silver e gold, consoante o que favorecer melhor a peça. E é mais uma vez a forma de torná-las atuais, pois a mistura da prata na cor prateada e dourada, usadas em separado ou juntas, é uma tendência atual.

MUDAME commits keeping the origin of the Madeira Embroidery, striving for nobility of execution through the Madeiras Embroidery Certification Seal, which ensures that all the manufacturer criteria are met, with all the rights of all stakeholders in the process.

The same approach covers all precious and semi-precious metals used to produce our jewelry, performed exclusively by traditional methods, guaranteed with the mark of the Portuguese Treasury House.

The customer is our greatest motivation. For him, we designed it all in detail. Our online store and the entire line accompanying MUDAME jewelry are proof of that.
